Durch ein Feuer wurde am 27.2.2008 die Talstation zerstört! Dabei sind neben dem Talstationshäuschen auch das Förderband und ein Sessel zerstört worden. Die Seilscheibe und das Seil wurden beschädigt.
Die Ursache des Brandes ist noch unklar.
